PETFLIGHT works with families who are relocating to other parts of the world from Toronto. This is a very personalized service where we like to think our client is the pet, and the family is the loving people who pay for the service. We arrange the flight / shipping / moving of your pet cats and dogs from Toronto around the world.

We recognize that pets are an extension of the family unit. As such, they are treated with respect, and humanity.  For most people, the first question is "how much will it cost?" - for us to give you a fair estimate, it is absolutely necessary for you to give us the measurement of your pet (in inches):

  • from the end of his/her nose to where the tail joins on to the body

  • from the top of his/her head to the ground

  • from shoulder to shoulder, and

  • an approximation of the weight (in pounds).

NOTE: We cannot work on "estimates", such as "he comes up to my knee!", or "she's about the height of the coffee table" - worse still, measurements including words like "sort of", and "about". Be sure to measure your pet precisely. For imports into Canada, please know that we do not handle the customs clearance, or delivery of pets - we arrange the exports FROM Canada. For the government of Canada's import requirements, please click here:

 Government of Canada

Please be aware that many countries require import permits for you pet, and have very stringent entry requirements. If you are even thinking of going to Australia, you should contact the Australian authorities to receive the latest import information immediately - it takes several months to process (in order to avoid lengthy quarantine)

United Kingdom: Click here for new developments Since November of 2002, the rules of entry for cats and dogs into the UK have changed. You can still ship your pet into the UK with a six month quarantine, or, under the new UK regulations, you can elect to ship your cat/dog into the UK after preparation (which takes 6 - 7 months). In this order: Step 1: A microchip (which must be ISO compatible - AVID/Destron based) must be implanted into the pet. 2) A rabies inoculation (using killed vaccine) must be done, the microchip number recorded on the inoculation certificate, the vet must sign it themselves (in blue pen). 3) A month after the inoculation, a rabies TITRE-FAVVIN blood test must be drawn by your vet, who will send it to Kansas - this must have the full microchip number recorded on the vet's requisition form, and must bear this same number on the results. From the date that the blood was drawn for the Favvin test, the pet must wait a clear 6 months before entry into the UK. 4). The C.F.I.A. (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) can only stamp the appropriate E.U. papers within 4 months of the proposed flight date, and a C5 form will also have to be filled in by the owner for the English Customs. 5) Within 48 hours of the proposed flight, a Tick & Tape-worm treatment must be given, and filled in in the appropriate area of the EU papers, and also a health check must be done by this same vet. If your pet is going with you, non-commercial papers will be filled in, but if your pet is going separately, the paperwork must be "commercial" there is no difference in the charge. (Updated April 23 2007)

AQIS/DAFF: Some countries forbid import of pets entirely, unless from rabies free countries, and some countries will not permit certain breeds to be imported (Canada is NOT Rabies Free). We do not ship exotics, and for information regarding import, or export of these, one should contact the department of agriculture in your locality.
