Before you go to the EU site - regulations changed:
Version date: February 9, 2015
ON JANUARY 1ST, 2015, much of what was known about shipping pets to the European Union has changed - not least is the documentation itself. What was implied is now spelled out in detail. For families moving (with more than 5 pets), the numbers will have to be split, and will necessitate 1 member of the family to purchase a ticket to fly within 5 days of those pets, and another member of the family to purchase another ticket to fly with the rest, but not at the same time. Although there is mention of commercial shipments allowing more than 6 pets, the law is presently impossible to work commercial shipments.
We understand, the point was to stamp out the puppy mills. In so doing, the EU (in Brussels, Belgium) who made the law, also created problems for legitimate breeders of highly prized pure breeds. The EU apparently forgot about larger families who just want to relocate their pets. Petflight is up to speed with the dates, tests, vaccinations, and exceptions of moving your pets to Europe in 2015. At the moment, we are already booking animals for much of Europe, and we do not expect to encounter difficulties, provided the pet owners understand that the new regulations must be adhered to. As far as the rest of Europe, where pets are transiting the EU from one country (where they will be cleared) and going to another - again, we do not anticipate problems, provided the new regulations are adhered to. To this end, Petflight requires to have all the E.U. Papers completed at the transit vet hospital of Petflight's choosing within the time frame.
As a Toronto based premier dog and cat shipping company for Europe, Petflight encourages you to contact us for the relocation of your pets.
