NAVCAN
|
Navcan came into effect as of October 1st, 1999. It is a charge invoiced
by the Canadian government to all airlines landing and taking off within Canada. Navcan
charges cover the cost of the governments administration of aircraft within Canadian air space.
Navcan does not presently apply to Trucked shipments to/from the United States for flights
out/in from there.
The NAVCAN charge is enough that the airlines will not accept it as a loss, so it is being
passed on to the billing party. PetFlight Inc., will additionally invoice this charge
as a result of the additional cost.
